Die Fitter

**Job Summary**:
As a Die Fitter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining precision tools and dies used in manufacturing processes. You will utilize your technical skills and knowledge of machining, metalworking, and toolmaking to fabricate and assemble dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and the production of high-quality components.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Tool and Die Construction**: Fabricate, assemble, and fit together components to construct dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and other precision tools used in manufacturing processes.
- **Machining**: Utilize manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment to machine and finish tooling components to tight tolerances.
- **Assembly and Adjustment**: Fit, align, and adjust die components to ensure proper functionality, accuracy, and performance according to engineering specifications.
- **Repair and Maintenance**: Inspect, diagnose, and repair damaged or worn tooling components, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality and prolong tool life.
- **Quality Control**: Perform precision measurements and inspections using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate documentation of tooling designs, construction methods, repair procedures, and quality inspection records.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with engineering, design, and production teams to interpret engineering drawings, provide input on tooling designs, and address manufacturing challenges.
- **Safety**: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to machine safety procedures.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or apprenticeship in tool and die making or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a tool and die maker or die fitter in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in machining and metalworking techniques, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
