**ob Title: Urban Planner**

**Job Overview**:The Urban Planner is responsible for designing and implementing sustainable and efficient urban development projects, considering factors such as land use, infrastructure, transportation, environment, and community needs. They collaborate with various stakeholders, conduct research, analyze data, and develop plans to shape the growth and improvement of cities and communities.

**Responsibilities**:
**Land Use Planning**:Analyze existing land use patterns and zoning regulations.
Develop land use plans that optimize space, functionality, and aesthetics.
Recommend zoning changes to accommodate growth and development.

**Infrastructure and Transportation Planning**:Design and plan transportation systems, including roads, public transit, and pedestrian pathways.
Coordinate with engineers and architects to integrate infrastructure projects into urban plans.
Ensure efficient use of resources and connectivity within the urban area.

**Environmental Sustainability**:Incorporate environmental considerations into development plans.
Identify opportunities for green spaces, energy-efficient design, and waste management.
Promote sustainable practices to minimize the ecological footprint of urban projects.

**Community Engagement and Social Equity**:Engage with community members, stakeholders, and local authorities to gather input and address concerns.
Advocate for social equity, affordable housing, and inclusion in urban development plans.
Develop strategies to enhance the quality of life for diverse populations.

**Policy Development and Implementation**:Research and recommend policies that align with sustainable urban development goals.
Collaborate with policymakers to ensure the adoption and implementation of effective planning policies.
Monitor and assess the impact of policies on urban development.

**Data Analysis and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)**:Collect and analyze data related to demographics, land use, transportation, and other relevant factors.
Use GIS tools to create maps, models, and visualizations to support planning decisions.
Forecast future urban growth and trends based on data analysis.

**Project Management**:Coordinate and manage urban development projects from concept to completion.
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and community organizers.

**Public Presentation and Advocacy**:Present plans and proposals to community groups, public officials, and stakeholders.
Advocate for urban planning initiatives and gain support for proposed projects.
Address public inquiries and concerns related to urban development.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of urban development principles, land use regulations, and sustainable design practices.
- Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with local planning regulations and zoning codes.
- Experience with community engagement and public participation processes.
- Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
