Gumpaste Cake Maker (Bakery Company)

**Salary**:INR 10,000 per month

**Preferred Location**:all over West Bengal

**Responsibilities**:

- **Cake Assembly**: Collaborate with the cake decorating team to assemble and decorate cakes. Adhere to specific design instructions, ensuring the gumpaste decorations harmonize with the overall cake theme and design.
- **Customization**:Work closely with clients and/or the design team to understand their unique requirements, themes, and preferences. Incorporate client specifications while suggesting creative ideas to enhance the final cake design.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of gumpaste cake making. Ensure the finished products meet quality expectations, including the texture, color, and overall presentation.
- **Research and Development**: Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and tools in gumpaste cake making. Continuously explore new designs, styles, and innovative methods to enhance your skillset and broaden the range of offerings.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and maintain an inventory of gumpaste supplies, tools, and equipment. Report any shortages or required replenishments to the appropriate department to ensure uninterrupted production.
- **Cleanliness and Safety**:Adhere to strict hygiene and safety standards in the workplace, including proper handling and storage of gumpaste ingredients, tools, and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- **Time Management**: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to established timelines and deadlines. Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of cake orders.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**:A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a professional cake decorator or gumpaste artist, preferably in a bakery or cake studio environment.
- **Gumpaste Expertise**: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with gumpaste, including molding, shaping, coloring, and drying techniques. Proficiency in creating lifelike flowers, figurines, and intricate cake decorations using gumpaste is essential.
- **Artistic Skills**:Strong artistic abilities, including an eye for color, form, texture, and composition. A demonstrated portfolio of gumpaste cake creations showcasing creativity, attention to detail, and craftsmanship is highly desirable.
- **Creativity and Innovation**:Ability to conceptualize and execute unique and visually stunning designs. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovative gumpaste techniques, and emerging cake decorating styles.
- **Collaboration**: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with clients, cake decorators, and other team members. Ability to interpret design instructions and client preferences accurately.
- **Time Management**:Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and managing multiple cake orders simultaneously.
- **Hygiene and Safety**:Strong knowledge of food safety guidelines and best practices related to gumpaste handling and cake decorating. Strict adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- **Physical Stamina**:Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy cake tiers, and perform intricate tasks requiring dexterity and precision.
