**Observability ELK Architect**

**Job Description for the post**

Hiring on behalf of one of our customer.They are a global leader in food and beverage, & are undergoing a digital transformation. We seek a **visionary ELK Architect to join our expanding SRE team and drive innovation in observability. You'll champion the ELK Stack, designing and implementing solutions that unlock actionable insights, boost performance, and empower stakeholders across the company.**

**Accountabilities**:

- Craft the ELK Vision: Architect and optimize the ELK platform for large-scale deployments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Master of Data Insights: Design and build impactful Elasticsearch indices, dashboards, and visualizations to transform raw data into actionable intelligence.
- Automate for Efficiency: Utilize Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs to develop seamless integrations and automate routine tasks.
- Champion Best Practices: Establish and enforce development standards, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner with stakeholders across teams (platform, development, product) to achieve shared observability goals.
- Innovation Catalyst: Champion AIOPS and touchless operations, driving continuous improvement and exploring cutting-edge solutions.
- Subject Matter Expert: Act as the ELK guru, collaborating with Enterprise Architecture on reference designs and advising leadership.
- Execute the Roadmap: Oversee the strategic SRE Observability program, ensuring alignment with CTO and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Ace: Tackle advanced troubleshooting challenges within the observability system, ensuring optimal performance.
- Tech-Savvy Leader: Develop and implement scripts and tools, manage data pipelines, and integrate with core services and platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing initiatives to refine observability systems and adapt to emerging

**Qualifications/Requirements**

**- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field required; master’s degree preferred**

**Experience**:

- **12+ years of experience delivering observability solutions at scale across multi-functional SRE areas.**

**- 8+ years of expertise with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, APM, Beats).**
**- 6+ years of experience developing and integrating with Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs.**
**- End-to-end experience administering ELK Stack production systems.**
**- Proven ability to design efficient Elasticsearch indices and dashboards.**
**- Strong scripting skills in Python (essential) and familiarity with other languages (e.g., Json).**
**- Familiarity with container infrastructure (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).**
**- Hands-on experience with Elastic APM, ILM Lifecycle, and event management/analytics.**
**- Demonstrated commitment to best practices and quality assurance.**
**- Experience with Logstash pipelines and Grok parsing (a plus).**

**Proven technical expertise in one or more of the following**:

- **AIOPS/ Observability & Automation tools & Frameworks, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Elastic, Kibana, Kafka**

**Nice to have exposure.**
**- ITOM & Collaboration tools: ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Tableau.**
**- Data/Data Structures: Oracle, SQL, Mongo, Hadoop, Cloudera, Spark, Teradata**
**- API development using 3rd party libraries, REST/API**
**- Enterprise Architecture experience**
**- DBA experience**
