**Position: Postdoctoral fellow
- Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations**

**Company Overview**:Rhogenites Biotech India Private Limited (Rhogenites), a pre-clinical stage biotechnology start-up company, focusing on developing de novo proteins using artificial intelligence and protein engineering techniques for various chronic and hereditary genetic diseases. Located in the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS)/C-Camp, Bangalore, India. Rhogenites is building a world-class team of highly motivated, dedicated scientists to help us advance our research and development programs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform structural analysis of proteins and ribonucleoproteins to identify key residues and regions of interest for engineering of base editors and other biotherapeutics.
- Expertise in computational Biophysics, Molecular Modeling/Dynamics/Docking for proteins studies.
- Guide experimental design decisions using protein phylogenies and functional data.
- Create and implement custom bioinformatics data pipelines to analyze results from novel and established next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays.
- To plan and develop new NGS-based screening methods.
- Communicate scientifically rigorous findings via verbal and written communications, visualizations, and presentations Work collaboratively with experts from other fields (e.g., computational biology, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry) to drive pipeline integration into our in-silico discovery platform.
- Presentation of results to internal and potentially external scientific collaborators.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Minimum 3 years of post-graduate experience in small molecule drug discovery

Proven track record of leading successful in-silico discovery projects; strong background in rational drug design and cheminformatics

Extensive experience in large-scale virtual screening and hit identification using cheminformatics, structure and ligand-based methods

Good coding skills, including minimum 2 years of experience writing Python programs

Strong familiarity with Open-Source cheminformatics tools such as RDKit and Openbabel, in the domain of large-scale chemical similarity searches, clustering, and library design

A solid understanding of deep learning-based frameworks in structure-based domains ( e.g. DiffDock, E3Bind, UniMol, GNINA, KDEEP, EquiBind, dMaSIF)

Familiarity with good software development developing python packages, package management (pip, mamba, conda), CI/CD and other adjacent topics required for designing high quality codebases

Contribution, development, and maintenance of open-source packages used by the cheminformatics community

Excellent decision-making skills related to chemical space selection prior to launching a virtual screening campaign

Experience in leveraging experimental data for building and/or refining complex in-silico screening pipelines (e.g., SPR, TSA and cell-based assays readouts, including phenotypic screening)

Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combining creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome obstacles

Ability to independently carry out experiments, generate relevant data outputs for analysis and communicate data to the team.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions closely.

A desire to work in a team-oriented group that empowers its members to think independently and contribute revolutionary ideas.

Good communication skills and the ability to document experimental procedures and results accurately.

Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular hours, as required by experimental protocols.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a strong desire to work in cross-functional teams.
