A horticulturist is responsible for the cultivation, management, and maintenance of plants, gardens, and landscapes. They utilize their expertise in plant biology, soil science, pest management, and landscaping techniques to ensure healthy plant growth and vibrant landscapes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Plant Cultivation**: Selecting, planting, and caring for a wide variety of plants, including flowers, trees, shrubs, fruits, and vegetables.
- **Soil Management**: Analyzing soil composition, pH levels, and nutrient content to determine optimal conditions for plant growth. Implementing soil amendments and fertilization techniques as needed.
- **Pest and Disease Control**: Monitoring plants for signs of pests, diseases, and other environmental stressors. Developing and implementing integrated pest management strategies to mitigate damage and ensure plant health.
- **Water Management**: Establishing efficient irrigation systems and watering schedules to meet the moisture needs of different plant species while conserving water resources.
- **Pruning and Trimming**: Pruning trees, shrubs, and other plants to promote healthy growth, maintain desired shapes, and remove diseased or damaged parts.
- **Landscaping Design**: Planning and designing outdoor spaces, including gardens, parks, and urban landscapes. Selecting appropriate plant species, arranging plantings, and incorporating hardscape features for aesthetic appeal and functionality.
- **Research and Development**: Conducting experiments, trials, and research projects to test new plant varieties, cultivation techniques, and landscaping innovations. Keeping abreast of latest developments and best practices in horticulture.
- **Educational Outreach**: Providing guidance, advice, and educational resources to homeowners, gardeners, and community groups on gardening practices, plant care, and landscaping design.
- **Documentation and Recordkeeping**: Maintaining accurate records of plant inventories, maintenance activities, and landscape designs. Compiling data for reports, presentations, and budget planning purposes.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plant biology, soil science, and pest management principles.
- Experience in plant cultivation, landscaping, or related fieldwork.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.

Pay: ₹10,766.68 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
