Buyer for Global Supply Chain Support (based in Gurgaon, India).

We are looking for a Buyer to be based in Gurgaon, India. This position reports to “Manager, Global Sourcing & Category Management”. In this position you will have steering transformation and development of supply chain through the implementation of supply chain processes & tools, Strategic sourcing, Supplier development & sustainable practices.

In this position, you will be required to:
Understanding the RFQ requirements and prepare should cost. Floating RFQ’s to potential suppliers from approved suppliers and get the quotations. Negotiations to optimize the cost, delivery, logistics and other terms & conditions as per Customer requirements. Cost comparison, offer preparation & submission to Stake holders. Preparation of PO & SOs in BAAN/ERP with maintaining the Budgets of Projects, as per Purchase Policy Guidelines, along with preparation of Techno-Commercial Analysis Sheet. Issuing PO to suppliers and submission of SO to Customer. Arranging KOM with Suppliers and Customers, as required & Timely Expediting in line with QC Inspectors for aligning inspections as per QAP Stages. Co-Ordinating with Logistics for invoicing, vehicle arrangement and dispatch. Claim settlement and Quality marking in BAAN, in case of any monetary claim for project / order executed. Invoice Signing and Timely Payment Advice to Finance. To maintain the documentation/live tracking sheets updated day to day basis (such as TTS Sheet, Orders Sheet, Project Status Report, Workload Chart, Savings Sheet, Daily Task List). To be updated with raw material trends & co-ordinate with team for sharing the information. (Steel mint reports) To make annual contracts / fixed price list for repeated items. To ensure the updating of supplier database in compass, as and when new update is available. To develop New Suppliers with maximum in-house facilities. To develop New Product with co-ordination with Stakeholders. Should be able to identify the business pipeline based on offers submitted for the firm RFQs. To ensure timely supplier visits to enhance product knowledge and foresee possibilities improving supplier capabilities. Adhering to Valmet’s HSE, Values, Sustainability and Code of Conduct

To succeed this role, you will need:
Experience: 5-7 Years of Experience in Estimation & Proposal, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. Drawing Reading & Interpretation. Good Analytical & Engineering Skills. Identifying potential suppliers based on requirements. Good communication and presentation skills Well versed with manufacturing process like fabrication, machining, casting, painting, assembly etc. Knowledge of various international and national codes. Knowledge of various materials like carbon steel, mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and duplex steel. Technical & Commercial Understanding Documentation skills Computer skills like MS-office, hands on experience on any ERP/BAAN etc. Well versed knowledge of procure to pay process (P2P). Updated with Market Trend Analysis. Self-Driven
