**Job Summary**:
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the transportation company’s operations, ensuring that goals for efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction are met. The GM provides strategic leadership and manages day-to-day activities across departments, including operations, logistics, fleet management, and customer service. This role requires a results-driven individual with extensive knowledge of the transportation industry and strong leadership capabilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Strategic Leadership**: Develop and implement strategies for growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. Mentor and manage department heads.
- **Operations Oversight**: Ensure smooth daily operations across logistics, dispatch, and customer service, collaborating with Operations to optimize schedules and resources.
- **Financial Management**: Work with Finance to develop budgets, monitor expenses, analyze performance, and drive cost efficiency.
- **Fleet & Safety Management**: Oversee fleet maintenance and compliance with safety regulations, coordinating with Fleet and Safety Officers.
- **Customer Relations**: Maintain client relationships, resolve service issues, and implement initiatives for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- **HR & Staff Development**: Support HR in recruiting, training, and retaining staff; promote a positive work culture.
- **Sales & Business Development**: Collaborate with Sales to identify new business opportunities and negotiate client contracts.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field (MBA or equivalent is a plus).
- **Experience**: 20+ years in a transportation or logistics environment, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management role.
