Conducting research to develop new plant varieties that are resistant to disease or drought, for example
- Planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops to ensure maximum yield
- Conducting research on soil composition, irrigation methods, pest control techniques, and other factors that affect plant growth
- Monitoring insect populations to determine when pesticides or other treatments are needed
- Conducting environmental impact assessments to determine if proposed construction projects will have any impact on the surrounding environment or wildlife habitats
- Evaluating plants for signs of stress, disease, or other problems
- Consulting with customers about the selection of plants suitable for their needs
- Planting and maintaining plants in nurseries where new plants are grown before being sold to the public
- Recommending new planting designs or layouts based on client needs, available space, sunlight requirements, and other considerations
- Knowledge of the characteristics, growth habits and proper cultivation of a wide selection of vegetable plants and flowering bulbs, annuals, biennials and perennial plant materials, including both herbaceous and woody plants.
- Knowledge of the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers, soil conditioners and pest control methods and materials.
- Ability to manage gardening staff, give instructions and get work done
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, maintain schedule and manage projects varying from 1 day to 6 months
- Familiar with drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting, living wall/ vertical wall creation, hydroponics etc
- Should be able to help the Landscape Designer in determining the planting scheme
- Should be willing to travel within the city on a daily basis to monitor projects

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Varthur, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- total work: 3 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
