**Goal Setting**
- Prepare job descriptions and goal sheets for nursing department.

**Training and Development**
- Be responsible for the Nursing Educational Department and for the training provided to the nurses.
- Ensure educational activities are congruent with the Kauvery hospital mission, vision, values, goals priorities, and resources.
- Provide an appropriate climate for learning, and facilitate the learning process by developing, planning, and presenting training and educational activities and foster competency development in the nursing staff.
- Ensure periodic and continual interaction with clinicians and identify the needs. Incorporate such needs into daily nursing practice by designing suitable training programmes.
- Developing Competency assessment tools and skill matrix for the nurses.
- Identify training needs through direct observation, skill tests and pre-training evaluations.
- Based on training needs, prepare the content for the training programs and develop effective training modules. Prepare power point presentations which would cover the various training modules.
- Administer training programme as per plan; Coordinate and arrange the required resources.
- Continuously develop the skill sets of Nursing through structured training gap analysis, and evaluation and ascertain appropriate skill inventory of various nursing skill sets.
- _Provide soft skill training to the nurse and ensure it helps to service the patients in an effective manner_. Ensure patient safety, patient care and patient satisfaction.
- Develop interpersonal skills and team work of nursing staff through structured training and evaluation programmes.
- Work with teams and make sure that the objectives, KPIs are all clearly understood and accepted by the individual employees and facilitate discussion if required.
- Ensure achievement of Nursing KPIs like Infection Control, Patient Safety, Patient Satisfaction, Biomedical Waste Management, Patient Care, Accuracy in Medication and the like through on-the-job evaluation and training.
- Support the Nursing Head in conducting monthly Performance Reviews.
- Work with the L&D team and prepare a training calendar for Nursing, and implement the same effectively.
- Work with the L&D team and coordinate with the external agencies and organize training programme if necessary.
- Prepare an incident reporting format and implement it effectively.
- Prepare nursing question bank for the assessment for recruitment and training.
- Identify changes that should be made in nursing practice using an evidence-based approach and facilitate the initiation, adoption, and adaptation to change.
- Assist with the integration of new learning into nursing practice and serve as a resource by assisting nurses in identifying problems, available internal and external educational resources; and selecting educational options.

**Performance Management**
- Facilitate effective appraisal process and completion of appraisal on time.
- Compile the appraisal results, validate, and fine tune and finalize the training needs under the facilitation of HR head.

**Quality**
- Provide ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the educational activities to ensure that they maintain and enhance professional development that promotes the delivery of cost-effective high quality healthcare.
- Evaluate nursing practice in relation to quality / regulatory standards, relevant statutes and ensure nursing procedures / SOPs in line with such standards
- _Perform periodic nursing audits and submit reports to management._
- _Scientifically do root cause analysis of problems in nursing area and take corrective / preventive action._
- _Discus with the pharmacologist and redesign the nursing notes._
- Guide the Nursing Head in preparation of MIS reports
- Integrate ethical principles in to all aspects of nursing practice.

**Recruitment**
- Discuss long range nursing needs with management and Human resource to prepare and implement manpower planning and recruitment program.

**Documentation**
- Establish a standard Nursing Manual that ensures effective nursing practice, adheres to NABH and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain appropriate Nursing records, documents, training records as per the standard requirement.

Effectively use info life / Aosta software to improve the hospital management system.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
