Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Royal Healthcare, Chattannoor, Kollam, Kerala
Job Summary: Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN). We are looking for a compassionate and skilled professional to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the overall functioning of our healthcare facility.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, emotional, and social health.
- Regularly monitor vital signs and observe patients for changes in condition.
2. Care Planning
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical histories.
- Collaborate with patients and healthcare teams to set achievable health goals.
3. Medication Administration
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patients' responses to medications, managing side effects, and making necessary adjustments.
4. Patient Education
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Provide guidance on post-discharge care and follow-up appointments.
5. Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
6. Patient Advocacy
- Advocate for patients’ needs, preferences, and rights within the healthcare system.
- Encourage patients to participate in their own care decisions.
7. Clinical Skills
- Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheter insertion.
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
8. Quality Improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on medical advancements.
9. Supervision and Mentorship
- Supervise and mentor nursing assistants, LPNs, and student nurses.
- Take on leadership roles within nursing teams to promote best practices and teamwork.
10. Research and Evidence-Based Practice
- Utilize research findings to inform clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in nursing research initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in India.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- **Previous nursing experience is a plus**.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
