Identifying gems by their physical properties like cut, color, clarity and quality
- Providing suggestions for ideal settings for a gem in a piece of jewelry
- Advising investors on which gems to purchase
- Appraising items for auction houses and private clients
- Writing grading reports for each gem or item containing a gemstone
- Identifying the origins of a gemstone
- Categorizing gemstones based on gravity, crystal structure and refractive index
- Tracking the value of certain gemstones
- Estimating wholesale and retail value for gemstones
- Reviewing current inflation rates and other economic factors to determine fair market value for gemstones
- Ensuring the quality of gems as they travel through the jewelry-making process

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹39,612.04 per month
