**Role Description**

A Lead Engineer will have extensive experience of many, varying engineering implementations, and through this has become an expert in an at least one area of engineering; acting as a "go to" reference across the organisation. They may take functional (not resource management) oversight of engineering delivery for a department, continuously reviewing designs and quality and driving re-use. They will play a role in improving engineering capability in their area through recruitment and development activities. They take important design decisions and engineering approaches that can be disruptive within and outside of their department towards simplifying architecture, reducing technical debt and increasing flow.

**Your key responsibilities**

IT and Security Risk Management - Design, Control & Govern
- Design, manage and maintain the control strategy and framework with related governance across Technology internally hosted, 3rd party managed and cloud platform and ensure it reflects the changing regulatory landscape and bank wide minimum control standard requirements.
- Align internal Deutsche Bank policies / procedures against industry best practices / frameworks to strengthen the control framework and its implementation for both within the franchise and our 3rd party vendor relationships
- Develop, implement and monitor Key Risk Indicators for Technology and escalate any breach to the overall risk profile and or the risk appetite with necessary mitigating solutions to minimize the risk exposure
- Measure and review overall control design effectiveness and its applicability on a consistent basis and if needed, modify and or eliminate unwarranted controls
- Conduct targeted deep dives/RCSA for portfolios with higher degree of risk exposure and wherein we have had significant incidents leading to breach or sharp impact to the risk appetite
- Be a strategic partner with Senior Leadership within Technology and business divisions and work towards de-risking the overall portfolio risk profile
- Be a catalyst and an enabler to the global leadership for achieving the objectives in line with changing regulatory and industry operating landscape
- Ensure management transparency by way of timely risk reporting and proactive engagement and representing domain in different governing forums

Project Management - Plan, Engage, Enable and Deliver
- Drive critical projects related to strategic changes within the Organization and ensure successful delivery against tight timelines
- Ensuring seamless execution of Book of Work and necessary adherence to Risk and Governance Methodology to help deliver globally agreed objectives
- Accountable for the management and closure of audit findings as well as any Self-Identified Issues (SII) within the portfolio and direct remit of responsibilities
- Accountable for coordinating the overall control framework program delivery and overseeing the risk landscape for domain

Stakeholder Management - Identify, Partner and Collaborate
- Identify and Map key stakeholder especially during organization wide changes in the operating structure and related expectations to drive robust partnership and collaboration to attain success in delivering program objectives
- Work with relevant stakeholders to identify and assess controls gaps related to technology risk - measure and mitigate them in a timely manner
- Collaborate with global team ensuring successful and consistent implementation of the established control framework within domain
- Partner with 2nd LoD divisions such as NFRM and CSO to ensure 100% alignment towards Group wide minimum control standards and close partnership with the Division Control office for ensuring successful implementation of the program implementation and governance
- Collaborate closely and proactively with Group Audit team enabling VGSD to be ahead in managing the overall risk and audit lifecycle
- Represent the team within internal/ external stakeholders and maintain solid partnership with key business and vendor relationships

**Your skills and experience**

Specific requirement
- Overall experience in similar roles for 12-15 years in a Technology company or in Banking Technology division is essential
- Must have atleast 3-5 years of experience as Risk and Control Lead / Information Security domain in designing and implementation of Technology risk framework
