**Project Overview**:
Following a successful PMC contract to oversee Separations Facilities Project for initial concentrate of rare earth light and heavy metals, Bechtel will be performing the next stage as EPC. MP Materials HREE Project in Mountain Pass, CA is a chemical processing facility separating 11 Heavy Rare Earth Elements through a process of aqueous and organic separations, precipitation, filtration, drying, calcination and packaging. The project is to be built within existing (Brownfield) facilities. The project scope is FEED, Early Construction Works and EPC direct hire.

The project is located in California. The engineering is going to be executed in Houston Texas.

**Position Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing 2-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) plant layouts and study drawings from which detailed design 3-D CAD models and/or construction drawings are completed.
- Preparing portions of 3-D CAD design model under the supervision of experienced designers. Plataforma S3D is preferable.
- Design models, drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned.
- Preparing bulk material quantity takeoffs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline.
- Working with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate designs.
- Answering questions from client or construction group on design for assigned responsibility.
- Compiling, maintaining and accessing job drawing files, recording, and drawing controls, as instructed.
- Preparing design calculations used in the discipline.
- Participating in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
**Basic Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience in drafting and basic experience in design, AND specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices, OR a recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, AND discipline experience in drafting and design.
- Minimum 5 years in specific experience as CSA designer with knowledge and experience in: Concrete and Steel design in 2D drawings, expertice in modeling S3D, and procedures for CSA deliverables.

**Additional Qualifications**:

- Sound knowledge of CAD design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing, graphic arts, reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
- Skill in reading, interpreting and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups.
- Basic knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria, and codes relevant to the discipline.
- Knowledge of mathematical formulae and design calculations used in the discipline.
- General knowledge of technical responsibilities of other groups associated with the total design effort.
- Skill in leading the technical work of less experienced designers and/or drafters who share in the design effort.
