**Job Description: Jewelry Inventory Specialist**

**Position Overview**:
As a Jewelry Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of jewelry inventory within our company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that inventory levels are optimized, and all jewelry items are properly accounted for in our systems. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of jewelry products and inventory management procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Receive, inspect, and record new jewelry inventory items.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to facilitate efficient item retrieval and stock replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and propose action plans for clearance or disposal.
- **Data Entry and Documentation**:

- Accurately record all inventory transactions in the company's database or inventory management system.
- Update inventory records with product descriptions, quantities, SKU numbers, and other relevant information.
- Generate reports detailing inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies as needed.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect jewelry items for quality and authenticity upon receipt.
- Work closely with the quality control team to address any issues related to inventory discrepancies or damaged items.
- Implement measures to maintain the highest standards of product quality and presentation.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Liaise with procurement and sales teams to coordinate inventory needs and fulfill customer orders.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding inventory status, availability, and potential issues.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Continuously evaluate inventory management processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices for inventory control, including proper labeling, storage, and handling of jewelry items.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to jewelry inventory management.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory management, preferably within the jewelry or luxury goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of jewelry products, materials, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity and commitment to accuracy in inventory control.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).

**Working Conditions**:

- This position typically operates in a professional office or warehouse environment.
- May involve standing or walking for extended periods and lifting boxes or containers of jewelry inventory.
- Flexible hours may be required during peak seasons or for special inventory projects.
