Job Title: AutoCAD Draftman - Mechanical

Location: Pondicherry

Job Summary: An AutoCAD Draftsman with a specialization in Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Isometric (ISO) drawings for piping systems is responsible for producing detailed and precise drawings that are crucial for the design, construction, and maintenance of piping systems in various industrial settings. This role involves working closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to create accurate representations of piping layouts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and update Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and isometric (ISO) drawings for piping systems using AutoCAD.
- Interpret technical specifications, sketches, and rough drafts to create detailed and accurate piping system drawings.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and designers to ensure that the drawings reflect the correct piping configurations, materials, and dimensions.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and company guidelines, particularly in the context of piping systems.
- Manage and maintain a database of CAD files, ensuring proper documentation and version control.
- Conduct quality checks on P&ID and ISO drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Provide support in the preparation of project documentation, including material lists and technical specifications related to piping systems.
- Work closely with the project team to resolve design and drawing issues and make necessary revisions.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a strong focus on P&ID and ISO drawings for piping systems.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, particularly related to piping systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI) related to piping design and drafting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and create complex piping system drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders.

**Education and Experience**:

- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Specialized training or experience in P&ID and ISO drawing of piping systems is highly preferred.
- Previous experience as a draftsman in the mechanical or piping engineering field is an advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
