**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Firefighting Trainer**:
- Conduct training sessions on Advanced Firefighting and Basic Firefighting for maritime cadets.
- Demonstrate the use of firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers, hoses, breathing apparatus, and emergency procedures.
- Teach cadets firefighting techniques and protocols for shipboard fire safety.
- Conduct drills and simulated firefighting exercises to ensure cadets are proficient in emergency response.
- Ensure all firefighting training aligns with maritime safety standards and regulations.
- Evaluate cadet performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Maintain firefighting training equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
**Warden (Additional Responsibility)**:
- Supervise and manage cadet hostels, ensuring discipline, safety, and welfare.
- Monitor cadet behavior and enforce hostel rules and regulations.
- Act as a mentor and point of contact for cadets, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Oversee daily routines and manage any emergencies or issues that arise within the hostel.
- Ensure a safe and conducive living environment for all residents.
- Coordinate with the administration to address hostel-related matters.
- Report any incidents or disciplinary issues to higher authorities.
**Qualifications**:
- Retired or ex-Indian Navy personnel with experience in firefighting and safety training.
- Certified in Advanced and Basic Firefighting (experience in maritime firefighting is preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to train and mentor cadets in both classroom and practical settings.
- Physically fit and capable of demonstrating firefighting procedures.
- Prior experience as a warden or in hostel management is an added advantage.
- Must be willing to reside on campus and take on warden responsibilities.
- Knowledge of maritime safety standards and regulations is desirable.
**Compensation**:
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
