The Role

Within our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll be a master of managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations.

Your expertise will be crucial in configuring, installing and maintaining database management systems, ensuring that our systems are always running at peak performance. You'll also be responsible for managing user access, implementing the highest standards of security to protect our valuable data from unauthorized access.

As a key player on the team, you'll implement policies and procedures to safeguard our data from external threats. You will also conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, ensuring that our system is always scalable to meet our business needs.

You'll be a strategic partner, working closely with various teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals. Your contributions will not go unnoticed - you'll have the opportunity to propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system, enabling us to deliver world-class services to our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise- 10+ Years of Technical Experience- Any Graduation or B.E or any Equivalent Degree.- Good experience in Database Management/DBA/Oracle/DB2/SQL- Database replication- Design and implementation of relational databases at an enterprise level.- Lead DB Schema and architectural designs- Provide expertise related to DB performance, HA, and scalability- DR Planning and execution in HA environments.- Experience with Object Relational Modeling System such as Hibernate or JPA- Physical database design and tuning.- Bulk loading of source data and source data conditioning.- Database security and diagnostic maintenance.- Logical-to-physical data model engineering.- Capacity planning of database.- Database user security and permissions.- Database automation through scripting and stored procedures- Evaluation and utilization of software products to assist in the management of data.- Planning, installation, and maintenance of DBMS software.- Support/recommend reporting, query and analysis tools ensuring efficient database.-
- Measurement of DBMS performance and tuning; diagnosis of problems.- Modification of system-level configuration to optimize performance.- Interface with developers for performance and data access requirements.- Development of standards and procedures for the DBMS environment.- Consultation with system administrator regarding O/S - DBMS requirements- Good Understanding on Database replication- Knowledge or experience with Oracle Multitenant- Troubleshooting experience on network packet capture and Analyzing Packet capture.- Good Understanding on Application, Database- System Thinking end-to-end - Broad understanding of enterprise architectures and complex (backend) systems (understand more than the component itself)- Understanding of systems from a reliability perspective.- Passion for resolving reliability issues and identify strategies to mitigate going forward.- Understanding and practical working experience on Database, OEM- Experience using Oracle Data Guard- Knowledge or experience with Oracle GoldenGate
