Job Title: IT Technician

Job Summary:
The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for computer systems, software, and related equipment. This position involves assisting end-users with technical issues, resolving hardware and software problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and antivirus scans.
- Respond to service requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
- Collaborate with team members and IT professionals to troubleshoot complex problems and find effective solutions.
- Document all support activities, including ticket creation, resolution, and follow-up.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance their technical skills and promote best practices.
- Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software, ensuring compatibility and adherence to organizational standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for improving IT systems and processes.
- Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines to protect sensitive information and maintain data integrity.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Proven work experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Familiarity with networking principles, protocols, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues for end-users.
- Experience in installing and configuring computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Good understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear technical guidance and interact with end-users.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing technology and work demands.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends to perform system maintenance or support.

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

- Mohali, Punjab: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
