**Position Objectives**

1.1. To ensure uninterrupted operation of furnace and generate desired quality of product.

**2.** **Responsibilities**

2.1. Assist in preparing production budget for the plant and submit it to the Head of Department;
2.2. Assist in reviewing the budget for the production division team and analyze deviations (actual vs. budgeted) to take corrective measures;
2.3. Monitor and closely track the overall cost of production at the plant including manpower cost, material, cost due to rejection, re-work etc.,

2.4. Understand the production plan and ensure production of Ferro Silicon and Micro Silica as per the required volume, cost, quality parameters;
2.5. Coordinate with other departments such as raw material & finished goods, maintenance and sales etc., and communicate regularly to deliver production volumes as per the target;
2.6. Plan and coordinate with maintenance team for the Preventive and Scheduled Maintenance of the furnace;
2.7. Plan and monitor raw material mix ratio depending on the specification of the product demand in the market;
2.8. Mobilize and manage manpower to upkeep the operation of furnace;
2.9. Coordinate with cross functional counterpart in case of any equipment failure and untoward incidents;
2.10. Monitor and timely maintenance of ladle (ladle fabrication, brick lining, paste digging) and tap hole (chipping, lacing, plate and pipe welding, pate filling);
2.11. Closely monitor the deviation of furnace parameter and take corrective action immediately;
2.12. Maintain capacity utilization of the plant within the desired levels;
2.13. Charge electrode paste and raw material in the furnace by maintaining the required paste level;
2.14. Closely monitor the GCP parameter (inlet temperature, cleaning cycle, inlet pressure, bulk density and chemical composition of Micro Silica) and supervise work associated to the production of Micro Silica;
2.15. Prepare and review monthly performance report for the entire production unit and report to Head of Division;
2.16. Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental policies and pollution control norms in the production unit;
2.17. Any other job assigned by the management.

**Salary**: ₹271,196.79 - ₹1,003,690.13 per year
