Operation Theatre Technician

1. Preparation of Operating Room: Set up the operating room before surgeries, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and functional.

2. Sterilisation: Sterilise surgical instruments, linens, and other equipment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.

3. Assisting Surgeons and Nurses: Hand surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses during procedures, anticipating their needs to ensure smooth operation.

4. Maintaining Sterile Field: Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict protocols and procedures.

5. Instrumentation: Properly handle, pass, and account for all surgical instruments before, during, and after procedures.

6. Patient Preparation: Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, including draping and securing them on the operating table.

7. Emergency Response: Be prepared to assist during emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests or other medical emergencies in the operating room.

8. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various medical devices and equipment used in the operating room, such as surgical lights, anaesthesia machines, and monitoring devices.

9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anaesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and safe patient care.

10. Post-Procedure Duties: Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room after surgeries, disposing of biohazards waste, and preparing for the next procedure.

Qualifications and Skills:
Qualification: OT Technology

Knowledge: Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and medical terminology.

Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a sterile environment, keep accurate records, and follow precise instructions.

Dexterity: Proficient in handling surgical instruments and equipment with precision and care.

Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with the surgical team and follow instructions accurately.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and withstand the physical demands of the job.

Adaptability: Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities and surgical procedures.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
