Summary:
A Scan Doctor is a medical professional who specializes in the operation and interpretation of various diagnostic imaging equipment to produce images of the internal structures of the human body. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to help diagnose and monitor various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasounds, and PET scans
- Operate and calibrate complex imaging equipment to produce high-quality images
- Position patients correctly and administer contrast agents, if required, for accurate imaging results
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and communicate any abnormalities to the referring physician
- Observe safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Evaluate images and provide accurate and detailed reports to the referring physician for interpretation
- Follow established protocols and procedures for each type of imaging procedure
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel
- Keep detailed records of patients’ medical history, imaging techniques used, and any adverse reactions
- Keep up-to-date with new technology and techniques in the field of diagnostic imaging
- Communicate with patients, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in all aspects of job performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Completed one year of residency or fellowship in Diagnostic Radiology
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with various imaging software and electronic health records
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed
Salary : 2 lakhs per month
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
