**Job Title**: Professor-cum-HoD in MCA Department, Harsha Institute of Management Studies, Bengaluru.

**Qualification and Experience**: MCA/MSc (Computer Science) with minimum 60% marks and PhD. Atleast 8 years of teaching experience after PhD is mandatory.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Academic Leadership**:

- Overseeing and supervising the academic programs offered by the MCA Department.
- Developing and updating the curriculum to align with industry trends and academic standards.
- Monitoring and ensuring the quality of education and teaching standards in the department.
- Encouraging faculty to engage in research and publications.

2. **Faculty Management**:

- Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to the faculty.
- Organizing faculty development programs and workshops to enhance teaching and research skills.
- Ensuring a healthy and conducive work environment for faculty members.

3. **Student Affairs**:

- Overseeing the admission process and ensuring the smooth functioning of student enrollments.
- Addressing student grievances and providing academic support as needed.
- Encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities and industry-related events.

4. **Budget and Resource Management**:

- Preparing and managing the departmental budget efficiently.
- Ensuring optimal utilization of available resources, such as infrastructure, equipment, and facilities.
- Identifying and securing external funding opportunities for research and development.

5. **Research and Development**:

- Promoting research activities within the department and facilitating collaboration with other institutions and industries.
- Encouraging faculty and students to publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
- Initiating and supporting research projects that align with the department's objectives.

6. **Accreditation and Compliance**:

- Ensuring the MCA program complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Preparing reports for accreditation agencies and participating in accreditation processes.

7. **Industry Collaboration**:

- Establishing and maintaining strong ties with industry professionals and organizations.
- Facilitating internships, industrial visits, and placements for students.

8. **Meetings and Committees**:

- Participating in departmental meetings, faculty meetings, and other institutional committees.
- Collaborating with other HoDs and administrative staff to improve the overall functioning of the institution.

9. **Communication and Public Relations**:

- Representing the MCA Department to the institution's management, governing bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining effective communication with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a smooth flow of information.

10. **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identifying areas for improvement within the department and implementing necessary changes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹60,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
