**Position Overview**:
The Food & Beverage Captain plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery within the food and beverage department of our 5-star hotel and convention center. Serving as a leader and role model for the F&B team, the Captain oversees service execution, maintains quality standards, and fosters a culture of excellence to enhance the overall guest dining experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Service Coordination and Execution**:
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of food and beverage service, including restaurant dining, banquet events, and room service, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to F&B staff members, providing clear direction and guidance to maintain service standards and uphold guest satisfaction.
- Monitor service flow and guest activity, proactively addressing any issues or concerns to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- **Guest Relations and Satisfaction**:
- Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring their needs and preferences are understood and accommodated throughout their dining experience.
- Anticipate guest requirements, providing personalized recommendations, and assistance to enhance their dining experience and exceed their expectations.
- Resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, demonstrating empathy, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- **Team Leadership and Training**:
- Lead by example, embodying the values of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork, and inspiring F&B staff to deliver exceptional service at all times.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate service expectations, review menu offerings, and provide training on service techniques, standards, and procedures.
- Mentor and coach F&B team members, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and support to promote skill development and performance improvement.
- **Quality Control and Standards Compliance**:
- Ensure that food and beverage offerings meet quality standards and presentation guidelines, conducting regular inspections and monitoring consistency.
- Uphold hygiene and sanitation protocols in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas.
- Collaborate with the culinary team and suppliers to monitor food quality, inventory levels, and menu availability, making recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed.
- **Sales and Upselling**:
- Promote menu items, specials, and beverage selections to guests, leveraging knowledge of offerings and preferences to maximize sales and revenue.
- Encourage upselling and suggestive selling techniques among F&B staff, motivating them to enhance the guest experience and increase average check values.
- Monitor sales performance and trends, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization while maintaining guest satisfaction and value.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality-related education or certification preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in food and beverage service, including supervisory or leadership roles in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and senior management.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
**Salary**: ₹14,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
