A general manager of an automotive dealership typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Monitoring market trends to ensure that the dealership is meeting customer needs and promoting new products
- Meeting with managers from other departments to discuss issues related to the dealership’s operations
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that the dealership is operating efficiently
- Assisting in hiring new employees when needed and providing training to ensure that they are familiar with company policies
- Reviewing financial reports, such as sales figures and inventory turnover rates, to assess the performance of the dealership
- Providing leadership in developing and executing strategic plans for the dealership’s success
- Communicating with vendors to negotiate prices on new vehicles, parts, and services
- Reviewing customer complaints and resolving disputes on behalf of the dealership

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Achieve dealership targets for sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain high ethical standards in all business dealings with customers, employees, and vendors
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages employee development and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Negotiate vehicle purchase contracts with manufacturers and other dealerships
- Manage inventory levels and vehicle pricing to maximize profitability
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of vehicles sold by the dealership
- Direct the activities of the sales, finance, and service departments
- Prepare monthly financial reports and present them to the dealership’s owners
- Participate in the selection and training of new employees

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in automotive sales & service or management
- Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in business, management, or related field
- 15+ years of experience in automotive sales & Service or management
- Experience with inventory management and vehicle pricing
- Familiarity with dealership software programs, such as DMS & CRM
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the automotive industry

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
