The Role

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling and Visualization
- Develop and maintain Power BI data models, ensuring they are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Create interactive and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business requirements.

Data Integration and ETL
- Connect Power BI to a variety of data sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading into Power BI.

Collaboration
- Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the adoption of Power BI solutions.

Performance Tuning
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance, including DAX query optimization and data model refinement.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI performance issues.

Documentation and Standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of data models, workflows, and Power BI processes.
- Establish and enforce governance standards for data security, accessibility, and accuracy.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:
> Minimum 5 years of expertise with Data Modelling and power BI developement.

> Can build data pipelines to feed both structured and semi-structured data to Power BI
> Has extensive experience in data modelling in the context of Power BI
> Has knowledge of CosmosDB, SQL, Databricks, Power BI Dataflows, ADF
Is located offshore
> PowerBI development experience and is Power BI certified (PL-300)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Understanding of cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
