**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision and Leadership**:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of packing staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for packing team members.
- Schedule and allocate tasks to packing staff based on production needs.
- **Quality Control**:
- Ensure that all packing processes adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products are packed correctly and meet quality standards.
- Address and resolve any quality issues or deviations promptly.
- **Process Optimization**:
- Monitor and analyze packing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment issues and ensure proper functioning.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of packing operations, including batch records, equipment logs, and quality control reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for all packing processes and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Prepare and review SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for packing processes and ensure they are up-to-date.
- **Safety and Hygiene**:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all packing staff.
- Conduct regular safety training and audits to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the packing area.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and manage packing materials inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to manage the supply of packing materials and resolve any inventory issues.
- **Reporting and Communication**:
- Provide regular reports on packing performance, including production output, quality metrics, and any issues encountered.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with adherence to safety protocols.
**Working Conditions**:
- The role may require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and cleanliness requirements.
- May involve working shifts or extended hours based on production needs.
