Job Title: Foundry Worker

Job Overview:
As a Foundry Worker, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in a foundry environment where metals are melted, cast, and molded into various shapes and forms. Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of metal components while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:
**Melting and Pouring**:Operate furnaces and other equipment to melt metals such as iron, aluminum, or brass.
Control the temperature and composition of molten metal for casting.

**Mold Preparation**:Set up and prepare molds for casting by following blueprints, patterns, or work instructions.
Ensure molds are properly coated with release agents to facilitate smooth metal flow.

**Casting**:Pour molten metal into molds to create castings of desired shapes.
Monitor and control casting processes to prevent defects and ensure quality.

**Mold Maintenance**:Inspect and repair molds as needed to ensure they remain in good condition.
Replace worn or damaged mold components to maintain casting precision.

**Quality Control**:Perform visual inspections on castings to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Conduct basic tests on castings to verify material properties.

**Safety Compliance**:Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

**Material Handling**:Transport and handle raw materials, including metal ingots and scrap, using forklifts or other equipment.
Organize and maintain an orderly work area to facilitate efficient material handling.

**Equipment Maintenance**:Perform routine maintenance on foundry equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Report any malfunctions or issues for prompt repair.

**Documentation**:Record production data, including quantities produced, time spent on tasks, and any issues encountered.
Complete required paperwork for quality control and production tracking.

**Team Collaboration**:Work closely with other foundry workers and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth production flow.
Communicate effectively regarding any issues or concerns related to the production process.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in foundry operations is a plus.
- Previous experience in a foundry or similar manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, metal casting processes, and foundry equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality castings.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a hot and physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fresher

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
