About the role:An expert and responsible for Data Engineering and Solution Architecture of Technology Assets / Products and Platform Architecture and Governance of Technology Platforms.
Your responsibilities include but not are limited to
- Accountable for technology delivery of Data Engineering platforms/tools as part of the Datalake and Data Mesh architectures.
- Accountable for architecture/design, development/deployment and implementing the PoC for Data Engineering tools and access management tools like Immuta, Databricks Unity Catalog, etc.
- Define and maintain platform architecture standards and roadmaps required to operationalize business needs for a new servicePartner with business customers and DDIT Strategic Business Partners for demand analysis, solution proposal/evaluation, and funding estimates.
- Manage the delivery of new capabilities and product increment plans through strict AGILE delivery model.Successfully communicate with the chosen SI Partner(s) and collaboratively strive to deliver business value.
- Ensure enterprise grade and innovative Solution Design and Architecture with improving re-usability, configurable and scalability and security. Ensure top class and powerful engineering delivery, code management, DevSecOps management, automation and strive for highest efficiency.
- Ensuring all the documentation for the products are delivered as per the Novartis AGILE model. Follow industry trends and emerging practices to drive agility, speed, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing deploying new solutions and services. Ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures as well as with other Novartis guidelines and standards.

**Minimum requirements**
- 14+ years IT experience.
- 10+ years experience in Data Engineering/warehousing and in Big Data platforms, Data Lake. Having at least 4-5 years’ experience in Solution Architect
- Technical Guidance: This role will play the Platform lead role for Data Engineering products as part of the Platform Tech team. You will provide technical leadership to a team of excellent Platform engineers; this requires that you have the technical depth to make complex design decisions and the hands-on ability to lead by example.
- You will manage the following products that deliver related capabilities
- Databricks,Matillion,AWS Glue,Streamsets,Airflow,AWS Databrew, Custom Tools like ETL Framework and S3 Tagging framework,Unravel, Work with AWS accounts and different AWS services to deploy products and custom solutions.
- Execution and Delivery: You will be expected to lead a team of internals and externals to ensure timely delivery of above mentioned product capabilities and enhancements as per the Sprint cycles. You should be familiar with agile & Scrum practices as well as be able to adapt these to the needs of the business, with a constant focus on product quality and timely delivery
- Team management: You will be responsible for mentoring your team; Delegating the right work tasks to team members and ensuring the target delivery goals are achieved
