**Job Summary**:
The **Finance Controller** is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations of the organization. This role includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, while ensuring accuracy and integrity in the company's financial systems and processes. The Finance Controller will collaborate with senior management to drive financial strategy and improve the overall financial health of the company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis to monitor the company’s financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, offering insights into the company’s financial status.
- **Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop accurate forecasts.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and ensure cost control across departments.
- Provide financial projections to guide business decision-making.
- **Accounting Operations**:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- **Internal Controls & Compliance**:

- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, including tax filings and audits.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during audits, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of required filings.
- **Cash Flow Management**:

- Monitor cash flow, ensuring the company has adequate funds to meet its operational needs.
- Develop strategies for optimizing working capital, improving liquidity, and managing debt.
- **Risk Management**:

- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure proper insurance coverage for business risks and manage relationships with financial institutions.
- Develop risk management policies and contingency plans for unforeseen financial challenges.
- **Financial Strategy**:

- Work closely with the CFO and executive team to develop financial strategies that support the company’s growth objectives.
- Participate in strategic planning and provide financial insights to guide decision-making.
- Lead initiatives to improve financial performance, including cost reduction, process optimization, and revenue generation strategies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or equivalent certification (preferred).
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is a plus.
- **Education : CA/ CMA/ MBA Finance etc.**:

- **Experience**:

- **8-12 years** of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or controllership position.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting systems and tools (ERP systems, financial software).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a team.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
