Science Laboratory Technician

**Lab In Charge Job Description**:
The Faculty Lab In Charge ensures the smooth operation of the Science laboratories in the School and takes responsibility for meeting all health, safety, and environmental requirements of the community.

He /She also supports and assists the academic faculty in the daily laboratory operations, particularly in the following functions:
1. Leads, oversees, and contributes to the preparation of materials and equipment for laboratory work.

2. Responds to the academic team’s and the students’ requests for assistance before, during, and after lab sessions

3. Communicates with the academic team, and academic head or the High School Science Coordinator when making decisions concerning the day to day operations of the lab

4. Provides support and guidance on the technical use of materials and equipment for teaching and research.

5. Performs routine work related to daily laboratory operations and other related tasks assigned by the academic team and the High School Science Coordinator.

6. Develops systems to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained to the necessary standards.

7. Communicates laboratory and experiment requirements to the High School Science Coordinator.

8. Oversees the ordering and maintenance of stocks, lab materials, and consumables.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Biology or a related Science Education Course
- LET passer, preferably with experience in Science Laboratory work
- **Must possess the following skills**: -Good communication skills -Computer literacy and numeracy -Organization, initiative, openness to supervision and collaborative work - Other knowledge and abilities essential to the effective performance of assigned duties

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
