**Key Requirements**:
- Adequate Statistical Knowledge: Proficiency in statistical theories and methodologies applicable to medical research, such as survival analysis, regression models, and multivariate analysis.
- Proficiency in Statistical Software: Expertise in using statistical any or multiple software’s such as R, SAS, SPSS, or Python for data analysis. Familiarity with database management systems like SQL could also be beneficial.
- Clinical Research Understanding: Knowledge of clinical research protocols, including study design, randomization, and ethical regulations. Understanding of clinical terms and concepts specific to Haematology.
- Data Management Skills: Ability to manage and clean large datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity. This includes handling missing data, outlier detection, and data validation.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate statistical concepts and results to non-statisticians, including healthcare professionals and project employees. This includes writing clear reports and presenting findings effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
- Educational Background: A Graduate or post graduate or or PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field.
- Experience with Medical Databases: Experience working with medical and clinical trial databases, including electronic health records (EHR).
- Publication and Presentation Skills: Experience in preparing data for presentation and scholarly publications. Ability to assist in the writing of abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
- Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: Understanding of ethical issues and confidentiality concerns in medical research.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest statistical techniques and industry trends..

**Key Deliverables**:
- Data Analysis Reports: Regularly provide comprehensive data analysis reports that detail findings, interpret statistical results, and offer insights and recommendations for ongoing and future research projects.
- Quality Assurance of Data: Ensure that all collected data meet the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. This includes performing routine checks to verify data quality, identifying and correcting anomalies, and maintaining the overall reliability of the database.
- Hospital Information System and Quality/KPI Data Analysis: As part of the data analytics and business intelligence team, the statistician will be responsible for auditing and analyzing data from the hospital information system. This includes monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to ensure that clinical services are meeting their operational and clinical objectives. The deliverable involves generating regular reports that provide insights into performance efficiencies, patient outcomes, and areas needing improvement, which are crucial for strategic decision-making and enhancing healthcare delivery.
- Statistical Methodology Guidance: Develop and document statistical methodologies tailored to specific research studies. This involves selecting appropriate statistical tests, designing data collection protocols, and ensuring that the methodologies adhere to the best practices in clinical research.
- Training and Support: Conduct training sessions for doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and project employees on statistical concepts, data collection, and analysis techniques. Provide ongoing support to ensure that team members are proficient in these areas.
- Research Study Design Assistance: Assist in designing research studies, including formulating hypotheses, determining sample sizes, and devising data collection methods that are scientifically robust and ethically sound.
- Presentation Preparation: Prepare data and statistical analysis for presentations at internal meetings, conferences, and seminars. This includes creating visual aids such as charts, graphs, and slides to effectively communicate research findings.
- Publication Support: Support the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. This involves statistical interpretation of data, co-authoring papers, and ensuring that the statistical analysis is accurately represented in publications.
