**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and dispense chemotherapy drugs and other medications, ensuring accuracy and safety in dosages and administration instructions.
- Conduct thorough medication reviews and assessments to identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, or side effects.
- Provide detailed consultations and education to patients and their families about medication regimens, possible side effects, and medication management during chemotherapy.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and optimize patient-specific chemotherapy plans.
- Maintain meticulous records of all medications dispensed and ensure compliance with, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy protocols and guidelines specific to chemotherapy treatment.
- Assist in the management of medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing chemotherapy drugs and supplies.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in chemotherapy treatments and pharmaceutical practices to provide the best care possible.
- Address any medication-related queries or concerns from patients or healthcare team members promptly and professionally.
**Qualifications**:
- Pharm.D. or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in an oncology pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy agents and their management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with patients undergoing chemotherapy.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
