Overview

The Accounting area is responsible for activities related to either the, treasury, regulatory reporting and tax. Produce timely, accurate, and reliable financial information. Prepares general ledger journals, accruals, and prepayments. Reconciles accounts.

**Responsibilities**:
Main Roles & Responsibilities:

- Should hold working knowledge of
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Intercompany Accounting
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Month End Accounts Prep (including P&L and BS pack preparation)
- Accrual preparation
- Bank Reconciliation
- Pre-payment schedule preparation
- Inventory and Purchase Order accrual reconciliations
- Accrued revenue calculation and booking
- Capitalized software calculations and asset creation
- Determination of Deferred costs under US GAAP ASC 606
- Finance lease accounting in accordance with US GAAP ASC 842
- Preparation and presentation of variance analysis on monthly calls with Controllership team
- Preparation of a Balance Sheet monthly pack, including all reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Reviewing month-end reporting packs prepared by team members
- Participation in daily/weekly calls with client, as required, to brief them on month-end close status and communicate any issues that could impact on the meeting of reporting deadlines, as soon as they arise
- Provide guidance to RTR team members on accounting treatment of transactions
- Assist in pulling together data and back-up documentation for external auditors
- Collaboratively working with Global Process Owners Group Control and Technical Accounting team to establish a strong control environment along with US GAAP compliant processes
- Embed new technology approach including the use of Automation Continuous Improvement and Data Analytics to providing greater assurance and insights
- Spearhead meetings with Stakeholders / Finance Technology/ Business team involving critical issues and key business changes.

**Qualifications**:
Main Requirements:

- Overall 8+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting function (R2R domain) within Shared Service Centre or 3rd Party Service Provider
- Good attention to detail, strong analytical skills
- Strong employee engagement quotient along with good coaching & mentoring skills
- Previous systems experience (Workday, other ERP systems)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and in fast paced environment
- Proficient in closing, consolidation, and reconciliation process
- Ability to work with OTC/PTP teams and the business to resolve queries / discrepancies
- Experience working on Workday
- Experience working on ERP like SAP ECC/S4 Hana/Oracle
- Experience in Transitioning / Setting up Accounting Processes in Shared Service Delivery Model

B. Com, BBA, M. Com, CA, MBA (Finance) or CMA
