**Overall Purpose of The Job**
- Planner will have overall responsibility for assigned pool officers planning activities, ensuring that each vessel is manned/planned with qualified officers.
This role is responsible for the career development of seafarers in the fleet pool and focus on the overall improvement of seafarers’ performance and shall ensure of the effective and efficient delivery of crewing service to all stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**
- 1. Responsible for the vessels’ rotation planning of all officers ranks
2. Timely contacting with Officers to ensure that the rotation plan is as realistic as possible.
3. Overview and monitor the seafarer recruitment processes
4. Overview and monitor the behavioural and operational performance of seafarers and play an active part in the development of their careers by utilising the information in Appraisals, Seafarer Development Checklists and Personal Training Record Books. Recommend training needs for improvement requirements on the appraisals
5. Ensures effective coordination with CMP
6. Play an active part in the seafarers career growth and timely promotion to higher rank.
7. Maintain relationship with seafarers in respective fleet.

9. Plays an active part in the development of the seafarers' career by utilising the information in Appraisals, Seafarer Development Checklists/CMS and Personal Training Record Books.
Ensure that identified training is carried out by coordinating with the Training Manager for implementation of any training needs and/or recommendation of seagoing personnel. Follow up with CMP the seafarers who are assigned any training to complete on-board as per training matrix.
10. Ensures ShipSure crewing data quality for the pool.
11. Ensures implementation of procedures in an emergency.
12. Manage all crew welfare matters with the support of other teams
KEY SUCCESS MEASURES:

Retention of seafarers
Efficiency of crewing service delivery
Positive feedback from stakeholders (internal and external)

**Required Experience**
- ESSENTIAL:

- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
- Thorough awareness and good understanding of cultural and diversity issues.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Proven ability to work to, and meet, tight deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree in Maritime, Transportation and Logistics Operation, Business Administration or related fields and/or related work experience in Crew Management/Manning.
- Thorough knowledge of the business.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizing skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong customer service mind-set and solution-oriented
- Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships across all organizational levels.

DESIRABLE:

- Previous relevant managerial experience in Crewing Operations.
- Knowledge of Marine Operations Support and Maritime Services
- Experience in port operation planning, cargo controlling or dispatching or shipping line and logistics company
