**Job Summary**: The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for providing patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery. They work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Preoperative Assessment:

- Conduct preoperative assessments to evaluate patients' physical and emotional status.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure to prevent errors.
- Intraoperative Care:

- Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, instruments, and equipment.
- Monitor the patient's vital signs, anesthesia administration, and physiological responses throughout the surgery.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and provide necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures to prevent infections.
- Document all aspects of the surgery accurately.
- Postoperative Care:

- Transfer patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or intensive care unit (ICU) after surgery.
- Monitor patients for complications such as bleeding, infection, or adverse reactions to anesthesia.
- Administer medications and provide wound care as ordered by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about postoperative care instructions and potential complications.
- Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to address their concerns and provide emotional support.
- Quality Improvement and Compliance:

- Adhere to regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to patient safety, infection control, and surgical practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and streamline processes in the operating room.

**Qualifications**:

- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

**Work Environment**: Operating Room Nurses typically work in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, or outpatient clinics. They may work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the facility's needs.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
