Storage & Backup

Extensive IBM storage experience with SAN and NAS technologies/products including the following:
IBM SVC + Purestorage
- Good knowledge & experience of IBM SVC + Purestorage technologies/products
- First point of escalation for all technical and process issues.
- Plan and upgrade IBM SVC + Purestorage all flash/hybrid Flare code/Microcode/Patch/Firmware updates.
- Should be well versed in Storage Virtualization concepts
- Review of daily/weekly/monthly checklist
- Performance analysis of the storage using OEM tools
- Knowledge on create storage pool, disk domain, file systems, LUN Group, Host Group and mapping to particular server.
- Working knowledge of Brocade & cisco switch administration
- Basic knowledge of Operation Systems / databases / VMWare
- Undertanding on backup DR and clients DR solutions
- Installation, Upgradation and Configuration of NetBackup Appliances.
- Netbackup appliance (5020 / 5230) for Deduplicated storage.
- Configuring Policies, Storage Devices, Storage Units, Volumes.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting of backup environment including system related log analysis from OS, Software (NetBackup) and Hardware perspective
- Managing Backup policies, storage pools, Tape Libraries, etc. for daily, weekly and monthly backups. Expertise on Disk/tape backups.
- Experience with configuring Oracle, SQL,SAP backup, NDMP backups, VMware VADP backup, SQL backup, exchange backup etc.
- Taking Catalog backups and DB backups for recovery purpose.
- Successfully perform the system recovery and data restore requests. Catalog Backups and importing Images.
- Work upon Change and Incident Tickets.
- Monitoring Active Monitor for any minor & major errors in backups, Restores or any other NetBackup operations.
- Perform backups, restores, analyzing logs and troubleshooting errors.
- Working on Tickets basing on the severity level.
- Orchestration of NetBackup thru Dollar universe.
- NetBackup Job Scheduler management in Dollar universe.
- Knowledge of shell scripting is an added advantage.

- Understanding of Service Now, strong communication, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- Good to have knowledge/experience on public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Strong Communication skills.
- Performing On-Call duty as per the laid down procedures.
- Knowledge in OS: W2K12, W2K16, Enterprise Linux.
- Good to have ITIL V3 and/or any storage certifications

BE/B-TECH or any equivilant degree
