**Job brief**

GiftAbled is building a coordinative effort with Uttar Pradesh Govt departments for accessing rights and entitlements for People with Disabilities.

GiftAbled is now looking to hire a Government Liaison Coordinator in order to ensure an effective departmental collaboration flow (education, health, livelihood), and make sure that the PWD’s priorities are fully aligned with the government’s policies. Ultimately, Liaison Coordinator will work with a wide range of UP Government and other Govt Departments to access rights and inclusion for PWD’s.

**Responsibilities or Job Descriptions**
- Create awareness of disability rights and inclusion in the Government system and leverage the benefits for PwDs.
- Make the PwD community should aware of their rights, social entitlements, and responsibilities too.
- Building close programmatic collaboration with Health, Education, and skill development departments in districts.
- Work with all 30-plus line departments in districts for disability inclusion & accessing social entitlements for PwDs.
- Responsibilities to ensure all required organizational statutory registrations as per the program requirements at the state and district level.
- Building strategic relationships, establishing parameters to build collaborative efforts, and answering questions or concerns that come up for both GiftAbled and Government Departments.
- Attend relevant meetings and working groups
- Schedule regular check-ins with government departments for our activities
- Coordinate regular education, health, and livelihood activities and programs
- Produce monthly reports on our activities and produce ad-hoc reports as and when required.
- Coordinate presentations and events to ensure that the work of GiftAbled is adequately disseminated.
- Support in the coordination of GiftAbled’s events jointly organized with the Government departments.
- Help identify entry points for GiftAbled’s services (research, training, horizon scanning, Govt linkages, etc.)
- Identify opportunities for training and capacity building with department.
- Translate documents and presentations from English to Hindi
- Facilitate coordination between Government and GiftAbled Visitors for a field visit

**Requirements and skills**
- Need a graduate or postgraduate preferably from Legal or MSW background (but not mandatory) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in liaisoning and coordination with Govt. departments.
- Willingness to travel across the state and meet different officials and key decision-makers at the state and district level.
- Proven work experience, training, and/or certifications as a Liaison Coordinator
- Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi
- Flexible, amicable, and community-oriented approach
- Adherence to designated procedural UP Govt guidelines in Education, Health & Livelihood
- Demonstrating ethics and integrity
- Demonstrate Govt liaising knowledge and sound judgment
- Self-development, initiative-taking
- Acting as a team player and facilitating teamwork
- Strong leadership and liaison skills with track records of management roles in a team of multi-diversity background

- Ability to transfer liaison knowledge and motivate people and to build relationships with colleagues, partners, beneficiaries, government authorities, and other stakeholders
- Informed and transparent decision-making Experience in policy advocacy or related activities; understanding of Government of Uttar Pradesh protocols; understanding of effective methods for engaging government programs.

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
