**Job Title: Hospital Canteen Supervisor**

**Overview**:
As a Canteen Supervisor in our hospital facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the canteen, providing nutritious meals and exceptional service to patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supervision and Team Leadership**:

- Lead and manage a team of canteen staff, including cooks, servers, and cleaners, ensuring they adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to staff members to ensure they understand their roles and perform their duties effectively.
- Schedule shifts and allocate responsibilities to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours and meal times.
- **Operations Management**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital canteen, including food preparation, serving, cashiering, and cleaning.
- Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and coordinate with relevant departments to restock as needed.
- Implement procedures to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
- **Customer Service and Patient Satisfaction**:

- Ensure that patients, visitors, and hospital staff receive courteous and prompt service at all times.
- Address any concerns or complaints from customers in a professional and compassionate manner, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction.
- **Menu Planning and Nutritional Standards**:

- Collaborate with nutritionists, dietitians, and kitchen staff to develop menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of patients and staff.
- Ensure that meals offered in the canteen are nutritious, balanced, and comply with hospital dietary guidelines..
- **Financial Management**:

- Monitor sales and expenses to ensure the canteen operates within budgetary constraints.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
- Implement pricing strategies that balance affordability with the need for financial sustainability.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and infection control practices relevant to healthcare environments.
- Understanding of dietary requirements and nutritional principles, particularly as they relate to patients with medical conditions.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certification or training in food service management, hospitality, or healthcare administration is advantageous.

**Work Environment**:

- The role is primarily located within the hospital canteen facility, with occasional interaction with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
- Exposure to healthcare environments, including patient care areas, may occur.
- Adherence to hospital infection control protocols and safety measures is essential.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
