Bender Operator

**Position Title**: Bending Machine Operator & Helper
**Location**: Coimbatore, Thennampalayam

**Department**: SMD

**Job Summary**: The Bending Machine Operator & Helper is responsible for operating and assisting with bending machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machinery, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Bending Machine Operator**:

- Set up and operate bending machines to produce parts as per engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machine setup and part requirements.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on bending machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced and any defects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.

**Helper**:

- Assist the bending machine operator with loading and unloading materials and parts.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Prepare and gather necessary materials and tools for the bending process.
- Assist in conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the production team.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or fabrication is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with bending machines and metalworking tools is a strong advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [insert weight] lbs).
- Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

**Work Environment**:

- The role is primarily in a manufacturing setting, with exposure to noise, machinery, and potential hazards.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
