JR42607 Intern, Advanced Modeling
Your role comprises mainly of executing technical projects working with the team across Hyderabad, IN, and Boise, ID. The projects can involve developing and validating physics-based process/structure models. You will report results to the TD team of modeling engineers and collaborating with them on the next steps. This position seeks individuals that can code and implement predictive and prescriptive models
**This position is temporary up to a period of 6 months with a possibility of PPO**
**Qualifications**:
- Independence - be comfortable executing activities and needs
- Good written and verbal communication
- Outstanding teamwork
- Experience on algorithm development, numerical methods, and scientific computing
- Strong background in computational fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, physics, and chemistry
- Experience with computational materials science methodologies
- Familiar with process and multi-physics modeling, and implementation
- Experience with common modeling software, previous software development and Linux experience
- Experience with Bash, Python, MATLAB, or C++
- Experience with COMSOL, ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM
- Strong debug and problem-solving skills
- Experience writing reports and/or conference papers
- Experience with regression, neural networks, and frameworks
- Ability to work in a team environment and experience with remote collaboration tools
- Background in semiconductor process development or integration is encouraged
**Education Requirements**:
Pursuing Masters or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science within the past two years
