Position Overview: We are seeking a customer-oriented and knowledgeable Counter Salesperson to join our medicine shop. As a Counter Salesperson, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers in finding the right medications, and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions at the counter. Your expertise in pharmaceutical products and your ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the overall success of our store.

**Responsibilities**:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them in a friendly and professional manner. Understand and address their needs and inquiries related to medications, over-the-counter products, and healthcare items.

Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the medicines and products available in the shop. Stay updated on the latest medications, their uses, dosage instructions, potential side effects, and any other relevant information.

Sales and Recommendations: Offer product recommendations and suggest suitable alternatives when requested or when customers present specific symptoms or requirements. Provide accurate and reliable information to customers to help them make informed decisions.

Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels of medicines and related products. Inform the supervisor or manager when stock is low or needs replenishment. Assist in receiving and organizing new stock and ensure proper product rotation to maintain freshness.

Cash Handling: Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions while adhering to proper cash handling procedures. Maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times.

Compliance: Follow all legal and ethical guidelines related to medication sales, such as verifying prescription requirements, adhering to privacy regulations, and maintaining customer confidentiality.

Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the counter area clean, tidy, and well-organized. Ensure shelves and displays are well-stocked and attractively presented. Maintain a visually appealing and hygienic environment for customers.

Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues, including pharmacists and other sales staff, to ensure smooth operations and provide exceptional customer service. Assist in training new employees as needed.

Adherence to Policies: Familiarize yourself with the shop's policies, including return/exchange procedures, pricing, and promotional offers. Follow all policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.

Continuous Learning: Stay informed about advancements in the pharmaceutical industry, new medications, and regulatory changes. Attend training sessions or seminars to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a pharmacy or medicine shop setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, over-the-counter medications, and healthcare items.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A professional and friendly demeanor, with the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, prescription processes, and legal regulations related to medication sales is a plus.

**Salary**: ₹8,888.20 - ₹19,298.07 per month
