**Job Description - Transport Incharge**
Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
**1. Bus Fleet Management**:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the school bus fleet.
- Ensure that all buses are in proper working condition, conducting regular inspections and coordinating repairs as needed.
**2. Safety Compliance**:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards for school bus operations.
- Conduct regular safety drills for bus drivers and students, emphasizing the importance of safe travel.
**3. Route Planning and Scheduling**:
- Plan efficient bus routes to ensure timely and safe transportation for students.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive bus schedule, taking into consideration school timings and extracurricular activities.
**4. Staff Management**:
- Supervise and train bus drivers and attendants, ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines and provide excellent service.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues in a timely manner.
**5. Quality Assurance**:
- Monitor the cleanliness and overall condition of school buses, ensuring they meet established quality standards.
- Address and resolve any issues related to the quality of transportation services promptly.
**6. Communication**:
- Establish effective communication channels with parents, staff, and students regarding transportation-related matters.
- Address inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
**7. Budget Management**:
- Assist in the budgeting process for transportation expenses.
- Monitor and control costs related to fuel, maintenance, and other transportation-related expenditures.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in managing school transportation services.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in school transportation.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and scheduling software.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) would be an advantage.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: ₹21,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
