Cctv and Biometric Technician

**Experience**:2 to 5yrs
- **System Installation**: You will be responsible for installing CCTV cameras, biometric devices (such as fingerprint scanners or facial recognition systems), and other related equipment according to the client's requirements and system specifications. This involves mounting cameras, running cables, connecting devices, and ensuring proper placement for effective surveillance.
- **Configuration and Integration**: Once the physical installation is complete, you will configure the CCTV and biometric systems by setting up IP addresses, adjusting camera angles and focus, calibrating biometric devices, and integrating the equipment with the client's network infrastructure.
- **Testing and Troubleshooting**: You will conduct thorough testing to ensure the CCTV and biometric systems are functioning correctly. This involves checking camera feeds, verifying image quality, testing motion detection, and ensuring biometric devices accurately capture and match data. If any issues arise, you'll troubleshoot and resolve them promptly.
- **Maintenance and Upgrades**: As a technician, you'll be responsible for regular maintenance activities, such as cleaning cameras, inspecting cables, and updating firmware or software. You may also perform system upgrades and modifications to enhance performance or incorporate new features as needed.
- **Documentation**: Keeping detailed records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities is crucial. You'll need to maintain accurate documentation, including system diagrams, equipment inventory, and service logs, to assist with future maintenance or troubleshooting.
- **Customer Support**: Providing technical support to customers is an essential aspect of your role. You'll address customer inquiries, offer guidance on system usage, and assist with resolving any technical issues they may encounter.
- **Compliance and Security**: You must adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and security protocols when installing and operating surveillance and biometric systems. Understanding privacy laws and ethical considerations surrounding data collection and storage is important to ensure compliance.
