- Maintaining accurate patient records and providing timely reports to other members of the healthcare team
- A medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in general surgery
- A valid medical license to practice in the state
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
