Speech Language Pathologist

**Assessment & Diagnosis**
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Utilize standardized tests, patient history, and observations to create accurate treatment plans.
- Document findings and discuss diagnoses with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Treatment Planning & Implementation**
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific communication and swallowing needs.
- Use a variety of techniques, exercises, and tools to enhance communication abilities.
- Incorporate augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, as needed.
- **
Therapeutic Intervention**
- Provide direct therapy sessions aimed at improving speech, language, and voice function.
- Adapt treatment methods based on patient progress and feedback.
- Track and document patient progress regularly, adjusting goals and techniques as needed.
- **
Collaboration & Consultation**
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, educators, and family members to develop effective support networks.
- Serve as a resource for patient caregivers, offering guidance on how to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on coping strategies and communication techniques.
- **
Administrative Duties**
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each patient, following legal and ethical documentation guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing speech-language pathology.
