**COMPANY / DEPARTMENT SUMMARY**

The company is manufacturing home furnishing fabrics for the international and domestic market and established its footprint and customers across the globe. The company has established its in-house design studio to conceptualize, create and develop new designs to strengthen its home furnishing collection portfolio in line with the latest trends and asp e per international standards.

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

Senior / Textile Designer - position is created to help the management to conceptualize, create and develop New têxtiles and pattern new designs collection to strengthen organization's growth strategies. The Designer will assist the head of the department (HOD) in creating new and trendy designs of home furnishing fabric within the given timeline independently.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREA (KRA)**

1. Conceptualize New Home Furnishing Fabric Design

2. Develop and Create new original designs and patterns

3. Developing Samples Designs

4. Collaboration with stakeholders

5. Research and Experiments

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**

1. Conceptualize new home furnishing fabric design as per new trends in the market.

2. Create new designs as per buyers & market trends,

3. Development of fabric designs in texture, weaves, colors, prints, embroidery, etc.

4. liaising with clients and technical, marketing and buying staff to plan and develop designs

5. Working out a design formula for a group of samples

6. Develop sample designs in collaboration with the production team (tailors & other craftspersons)

7. Assess and approve completed items and production standards (testing and quality assurance).

8. Present the samples design and concept to HOD and Management for approval.

9. Working independently, or liaising closely with colleagues as part of a small team; to ensure that projects are completed on time (as per seasonal calendar deadlines)

10. Responsible for creating repeats/working/CAD files of detailed artworks for vendors/partners in the required software.

11. Research seasonal trends in the home furnishing Fabric market.

12. Prepared reports and documents for references.

**Other Responsibilities if any**

13. Any other work assigned by the reporting manager, or by the organization as per the business requirement.

**ACADEMICS & QUALIFICATION**

Graduate/Post-Graduates from a NID / NIFT Institutes only preferred.

Must attach photo resume, portfolio link (preferability Behance portfolio)

**WORK EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Textile Designer - Especially in Home Furnishing Fabric
- Well rounded experience in Home Furnishing fabric design & Concept Design
- Sound experience in detail-oriented jacquard, dobby, print, and embroidery design and development.

**FUNCTIONAL SKILLS**
- Demonstrates high-level aesthetics and creative ability with a strong understanding of Home Furnishing Fabric Designs
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle work independently with mínimal supervision

**PERSONAL SKILLS**
- Strong communication and articulation of ideas
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work, time management capability.
- Having the passion to learn new things quickly and being able to adapt to a challenging environment is preferred.
- Should have a go-getter attitude, willing to work in a team.

**PHYSICAL** **REQUIREMENTS**

Willing to travel as and when required.

Working in a computer system.

Coming to the office physically at Electronic City Phase I.

Work from home options is not available.
