Horticulturist

**KEY RESPONSIBILITY**
- **Plant Care and Maintenance**: Your primary responsibility will be the care and maintenance of the nursery's plant inventory. This includes watering, fertilizing, pruning, pest control, and disease management to ensure the plants remain healthy and visually appealing.
- **Customer Interaction and Sales**: Assist customers in selecting plants that meet their needs and preferences. Provide expert advice on plant care, including proper planting techniques, watering schedules, sunlight requirements, and pest management. Utilize your horticultural knowledge to recommend suitable plant varieties for different environments, such as landscaping projects, indoor spaces, or specific climatic conditions.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels, including plant stock, soil, fertilizers, pesticides, and gardening tools. Work closely with management to reorder supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- **Maintenance Services**: Offer maintenance services to customers, including garden design, installation, and ongoing care. Provide consultations for landscape maintenance, pruning, and seasonal upkeep to residential and commercial clients.
- **Operational Support**: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including cashier duties, pricing, signage, and merchandising. Collaborate with the management team to implement sales strategies, promotional events, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany or Zoology, Agriculture, Plant Science, Environmental Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in plant nursery operations, including plant care, sales, and customer service.
- Strong knowledge of horticultural principles, plant taxonomy, and plant physiology.
- Familiarity with common plant diseases, pests, and their management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for inventory management and sales transactions.
- Passion for plants and a genuine desire to help customers succeed in their gardening endeavors.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
