**Job Purpose**
- This is a front office role which will be engaged in a dynamic trading floor environment.
- It primarily involves trading in INR rates products, namely - IGBs, OIS, Corporate Bonds to achieve independent and desk budgets as well as interbank market making in the above products and continuous quoting of prices to sales for executing franchise client flows, both institutional and corporate.
- The product profile can increase to include USD rates, CDS, swaptions and new INR products when introduced by the regulators.
- The role involves active management of risk, liquidity and exposure in the relevant products and driving all aspects of the desk which include but are not limited to pre-trade analysis, trade execution, optimal risk management of trades within prescribed limits.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensuring full compliance with the regulatory framework and internal policies.
- Ensuring all relevant stakeholders (vertically and horizontally) are kept abreast of key developments in business and be aware of impact on business.
- Ensuring adherence to all risk limits of relevant products.
- Actively drive desk operations to meet revenue budget; coordinate with other desks for overall purpose of achieving trading budget.
- Represent local entity in internal/external forums if so asked.

**Job Duties & responsibilities**
- Contribute to overall trading desk related BAU activities including managing client flows.
- Work with attention to details in a high-pressure environment keeping bank interest in mind; achieve balance between revenue generation and building client franchise.
- Understand market drivers, essential macro trends and their correlation with domestic assets and be ready to form/communicate independent views on the same.
- Understand firm’s approach and policies for managing desk risk and applicable legal/regulatory rules.
- Actively take part in tech/non-tech new initiatives of the desk for augmenting client flows or sharpening trading profitability.

**Required Experience**
- 3-6 years of demonstrated proficiency in independently handling trading risk in relevant products.
- High level of fundamental and technical knowledge on markets and positionings.
- Full understanding of different types of risk and their optimal hedging strategies.
- Exposure to client management and identifying opportunities for client solutions.
- Ability to communicate ideas and defend their validity and target messages to different audiences and ability to interact comfortably with clients and senior management.

**Education / Preferred Qualification**
- MBA/CA from reputed institutions

**Technical Competencies**
- Know how of bond pricing dynamics and pricing of related derivative products
