Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard, using both basic and advanced cooking techniques.
- Assisting senior chefs in menu planning and recipe development.
- Supervising and training junior kitchen staff, as required.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and ensuring that all food safety standards are met.
- Managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of new dishes and menu items.
- Participating in kitchen meetings and providing input on kitchen operations and improvement opportunities.
**Requirements**:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef, with a strong understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Good leadership and management skills, including the ability to train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
- A passion for cooking and a creative approach to food presentation.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy pots and pans, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong sense of pride and attention to detail in your work.
**Education**:
- A culinary arts degree or certificate from a culinary school is not always necessary, but can be beneficial for those seeking to advance in the culinary field.
- On-the-job training and experience as a Commis Chef is typically required before becoming a Commis Chef 2.
Working Hours:
- Commis Chef 2s typically work long hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. They may work full-time or part-time, depending on the needs of the kitchen.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹13,500.00 per month
